Owner suspicious that trespassers started house fire

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) reported that a home caught fire on Tuesday near 38th St. and Emerson Ave. on the Northeast side of the city.

The home has been owned for the last three months.

The homeowner told IFD that he does not currently live at the residence, and that he believes the fire was set by squatters that were trespassing on the property.

The fire is under investigation.
