Fishers holds first ‘Mayor’s Night Out’

FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – Dozens of people showed up for the first “Mayor’s Night Out” in Fishers Thursday night.

It wasn’t just the mayor, but Scott Fadness’ department heads were also at the event. The goal was for city leaders to meet residents and to hear their concerns and issues.

“What we’re really trying to do is bring government out to where the residents are,” said Fadness, “and answer any questions they have and just interact with the public. We think it’s really important to have that kind of community engagement.”

Fadness says his administration will have more Mayor’s Night Out events and will continue to look for more ways to build relationships with residents.
