KFC creates stir with edible coffee cup

Introducing the 'Scoff-ee cup', the UK's first ever edible coffee cup developed by KFC to mark the launch of Seattle's Best Coffee in its restaurants. INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A sweet treat and a cup of coffee are the perfect pair. KFC took that idea and developed the first edible coffee cups for stores in the UK.

The ‘Scoff-ee Cup’ holds coffee, but also is made from a unique cookie, wrapped in sugar paper and lined with a layer of heat-resistant white chocolate that keeps the coffee hot. While the coffee sits in the edible cup the chocolate will slowly melt, causing the cookie to melt, becoming a sweet treat.

“Not only do the edible cups taste amazing, but they smell delicious too. We’ve infused different cups with a variety of ambient aromas including coconut sun cream, freshly cut grass and wild flowers,” Brandy Wright of The Robin Collective said in a release.

The Scoff-ee Cup is currently under development and not yet available for sale. Currently there are no plans to sell the cups in the U.S.
