Police arrest two following home invasion

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Police Department has arrested two people following a Wednesday night home invasion.

Officers responded to a home in the 6100 block of Lunada Drive in the Southwick Village housing addition around 11:30 p.m.

Police believe four males followed a man they knew. One stayed outside in a car, while the other three went into the home and demanded money. FWPD said one gunshot was fired inside the home, but no one was hurt.

After the incident, the four individuals left the area. Fort Wayne police, a K-9 officer and an Indiana State Police trooper canvassed the area looking for the possible suspects, reported WISH-TV sister station WANE News.

Two individuals were detained for questioning in a nearby subdivision south of Lunada Drive. They’ve since been arrested and identified as Marcus Ray Hughes Jr., 19, and Larry Devon Washington, Jr., 21, both of Fort Wayne. Both are facing felony burglary and robbery charges, while Hughes is also facing a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.

The two other suspects have not yet been located.
