Marian University men’s basketball coach resigns

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  Todd Lickliter resigned as men’s basketball coach at Marian University on Friday.

Marian University director of athletics Steve Downing made the announcement that Lickliter would be leaving Marian, effective immediately.

Lickliter was head men’s basketball coach at Marian for the past three seasons, after working as basketball coach at Butler University and University of Iowa.

I want to thank Coach Lickliter for his service to Marian University and our men’s basketball program,” Downing said. “He is a man of great character, and has represented us well. The entire Marian University community wishes him the best in his future endeavors.”

The Marian University Knights finished their season Wednesday, after a 71-52 loss to University of Saint Francis in the Crossroads League Tournament.

Downing said they will be searching to replace Lickliter immediately.
