Car crashes into light post sending it into house

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A car crashed into a light pole on ninth street sending the pole through the window of a house.

24-Hour News 8 news partner, WLFI, reported that just before two o’clock Sunday afternoon a car traveling on north on ninth street crashed into a light pole near the intersection of ninth and Kossuth streets. Lafayette police say that the driver of the car did not see a truck signaling to turn ahead of him forcing him onto the curb. The pole then broke and fell into the upstairs window of a house. The residents of the house and driver of the car were unharmed. Ninth street will be closed until further notice to clean up the scene.
