Missing Virginia woman located near Greenfield

GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) – An elderly woman reported missing out of Virginia was located in central Indiana early Monday morning.

Dispatchers in Hancock County say around 12:20 a.m., a deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle on Interstate 70 westbound, just east of State Road 9, in Greenfield.

The deputy ran information on the vehicle’s license plate revealing it was registered to the missing woman.

She was identified by police as 88-year-old Betty Einung.

Police said Monday morning Einung’s family was on their way to come get her.
