UIndy’s Krannert Library to undergo makeover
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The University of Indianapolis will be renovating their library, creating a more inviting atmosphere for student and community.
Krannert Memorial Library will be going under construction the summer of 2015, to reconfigure the space to become more versatile and inviting.
The $5.5 million design was created by RATIO Architects, and managed by F.A. Wilhelm Construction Company – both of which are locally-based companies.
The new space will provide enhanced digital connectivity and a range of room options that include private study rooms and spaces that encourage group discussion. A cafe, outdoor plaza space, 24-hour study lab and an upgraded main entrance with service desk are also features of the design.
Construction is scheduled to start in May, and the library will re-open for the fall semester in August.
