Fans want more of Reggie

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Reggie Wayne will no longer suit up for the Horseshoe.

The news came down in a morning news release from the Indianapolis Colts. In the release, the Colts leadership brass thanked Wayne for his commitment to the organization.

“I think that is messed up,” said Colts fan Michael Newton. “We should resign him.”

It’s unclear if the 14-year veteran will retire or try to join another team. Radio host Dan Dakich doesn’t believe Wayne is ready to call it quits. Dakich points to Wayne’s lack of a statement today as an indicator.

Back in March of 2012, the Colts released Peyton Manning in an emotional press conference with Manning and Colts owner Jim Irsay standing together.

“Peyton and the Colts were in an agreement with Peyton leaving. I’m not sure that is the same with Reggie,” said Dakich.

Wayne’s 14-year Hall of Fame career will not be easy to forget by those that root for the Horseshoe.
