58 headstones dedicated to infants with unmarked graves

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Over 50 unmarked graves were properly identified, honored and recognized during a special dedication on Saturday morning.

An Indianapolis woman honored the lives of 58 babies that died before birth or during infancy, some as long ago as 1957, at Plainfield’s Maple Hill Cemetery.

Linda Znachko founder of He Knows Your Name helped honor each one of those babies on Saturday by raising funds to get 58 new headstones for each one of the babies.

Thomas Monument provided all 58 headstones, and Dammann’s Lawn & Garden provided greenery for the plots.

Znachko said she hopes those who attend the dedication and visit the graves will take an important message with them.
