Lafayette police search for armed robbery suspect

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) – An armed robbery at a Lafayette Village Pantry store leaves police searching for the dangerous suspect.

Lafayette Police Department responded to a call of a robbery at approximately 12:17 a.m. on Saturday morning at the convenience store on the 1000 block of South 4th Street.

According to police, the black male suspect came into the store, showed his firearm, demanded money and then fled the store with and unknown amount of cash.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

But police are still searching for the suspect who is described as being approximately 6′ tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt during the crime.
