Quadruple homicide victim gets proper memorial

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Nearly one year after a quadruple homicide, one of the victims will have a proper headstone thanks to the communities help.

Family and friends of Hayley Navarra were not only seeking justice for the crime, but trying to raise enough money to give the 21-year-old a proper memorial.

Navarra was killed last February in a quadruple homicide. Investigators say four people were charged and are now awaiting trial.

Navarra was laid to rest next to her grandpa. Her mom tells 24-Hour News 8 her family has been trying to raise money to get her daughter a headstone.

In February they were $500 short for the headstone. On Saturday they said they had raised enough money to pay off the new headstone.

In an email sent to 24-Hour News 8 from the family they said they greatly appreciate all of the donations to give Navarra a proper memorial.

The trial for the quadruple murder will start this summer for one of the defendants, Kenneth Rackemann.
