BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (WISH) – The investigation continues Monday into a weekend crash in Kentucky that killed two people, including an Indiana University student.
WLKY reports the crash happened Saturday on Interstate 275, south of Louisville. Investigators say 59-year-old Elaine Ludwig and her 18-year-old daughter Amanda died.
Police say their car stopped in a westbound lane and was hit by a semi. Relatives say Amanda Ludwig was a freshman at IU and was studying to become a physician’s assistant.
The semi driver, 63-year-old Ronnie York, is from Greenwood. Police say he is OK.
