Pacers lock down on defense

The Pacers returned to work Monday afternoon; they’ll host the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night, looking to pick up a sixth straight win.

The Blue and Gold have really locked down on the defensive end during its five-game win streak, allowing 86 points or fewer.

“Really tightened the screws with what we could do defensively,” said Pacers head coach Frank Vogel.  “Once we got George to the point where he was able to play without a restriction, it just really renewed my faith in what this group can do defensively.”

It’s also in part to a challenge Vogel issued his squad.

“He’s challenged us to only allow teams to shoot 40% from the field.  We’re taking that to heart,” said Pacers guard Rodney Stuckey.
