IU gears up for tournament

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The first round of the Big Ten tournament tipped off Wednesday in Chicago.

While Purdue has a double bye in the tournament, IU is gearing up for a date Thursday against a team they lost to just a couple of weeks ago – Northwestern.

After a big slide at the end of the regular season, IU’s NCAA tournament hopes now rest on its performance this week.

“We talk a lot about what we have to do, what we have to ignore, what we have to work through, what we have to process and at the same time just play hard and go,” said IU head coach Tom Crean.

The Wildcats have given the Hoosiers problems this season, handing them one of their worst losses of the season.
