School custodian arrested on drug, theft charges
HAMILTON CO, Ind. (WISH) – A Hamilton Heights School custodian was arrested on drug charges on Tuesday, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
Nancy Teresa Jasper, 52, a night custodian of Hamilton Heights Primary School was arrested on preliminary charges of theft and possession of a controlled substance.
According to sheriff deputies, they responded in early March to the report of stolen student medications inside a locked medicine cabinet in the nurse’s office. Police also found other thefts of medication from at least three students during a two week period.
Jasper was in possession of narcotics and amphetamines that police say she took from the nurse’s office when she was arrested. Police also found a key to the medicine cabinet in her possession.
Jasper was released from the Hamilton County Jail on bond.
