Month-long ISP investigation reaps four arrests,13 felonies

PERU, Ind. (WISH) – On Thursday night, Indiana State Police arrested four people on 13 felony counts in connection to a month-long illegal narcotics investigation.

At 9:42 p.m., both ISP and the Peru Police Department provided a Miami Superior Court I search warrant for 183 East Third Street.

During their search through the residence, they reported finding a meth lab, methamphetamine, marijuana, chemical precursors, syringes and prescription medication.

Four suspects were arrested at the home, including; Cory Pyeritz, 44, Kayla Walrod, 24, David Jones, 30 – all from Peru – and Jacob Aulds, 30, from Denver, Ind.

They were all taken to the Miami County Jail.

Pyeritz, who lives at the East Third Street home, faces possible felony charges of manufacturing meth, possession of precursors, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of meth, along with misdemeanor charges for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Kayla Walrod faces possible felony charges of possession of meth, possession of a scheduled II narcotic, and possession drug precursors, along with a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

David Jones and Jacob Aulds both face possible felony charges of possession of meth, manufacturing meth, and possession drug precursors, along with a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
