Twice-convicted murderer sentenced to 65 years

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A convicted murderer has been sentenced to 65 years for his second murder.

Tyreese Taylor, 57, was found guilty in February for the December 2004 murder of Jesus Echavarria.

Detectives didn’t have any leads on this case for more than seven years. In March 2012, detectives received new information that led them to a suspect name and motive. Taylor was arrested on March 12, 2012.

Wilson previously served 22 years for a 1980 murder in Marion County.
