Early morning shooting claims one life

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department received a call of shots fired early Sunday morning.

According to police, the call came in just after 3 a.m Sunday morning.  Police were then dispatched to 1100 block of Fairfield Avenue minutes later.

After arriving on the scene, IMPD officers discovered a male victim who had been shot. The victim was soon pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.

Police have not yet released the name or identity of the the victim as they are still investigating the incident.
