SOUTHPORT, Ind. (WISH) – Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that flaggers will be put in place on Stop 11 Road when construction work begins on the bridge over I-65 on March 18.

INDOT stated that crews will be removing and replacing the expansion and contraction joints within the bridge starting on Wednesday. This work will restrict traffic access to a single lane.

Due to restrictions, INDOT will put flaggers in place to help direct and divert traffic safely.

Work is expected to last every day for two weeks, weather permitting.

After this bridge work is finished, INDOT is scheduled to move to the Emerson Avenue bridge over I-65.
