TLC, Clean and Clear ad to feature transgender teen

LOS ANGELES (AP/WISH) — A transgender teen is getting more national attention after she was named the new face of a Clean and Clear ad.

The slogan for the new campaign is “see the real me.” It calls on people to share their personal stories of natural beauty on social media.

14-year-old Jazz Jennings, a transgender activist, was also signed to an 11-episode series on The TLC channel. TLC will air a documentary series about Jazz, who was born male, and her family.

According to Yahoo, Jazz started her transition from male to female at age six. She was named one of TIME’s most influential teens in 2014.

The TLC series, tentatively titled “All That Jazz,” is scheduled for a summer debut.
