Notre Dame wins NCAA Tournament Opener

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Notre Dame escaped a scare in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday as they got past Northeastern University, 69-65.

The Irish were led by forward Zach Auguste who ended the afternoon with 25 points and six rebounds.

The Fighting Irish shot an outstanding 56 percent throughout the game.

Notre Dame will play the winner of the Butler and Texas game that will start later Thursday.
