INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Governor Mike Pence spoke Tuesday morning at the annual Indiana Leadership Prayer Breakfast.

Both the governor and the first lady attended the event at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, along with other political, business and civic leaders. The event is held every year as a chance to pray for leaders and those they serve.

The governor spoke about his faith during the breakfast.

“There’s really nowhere in Indiana I don’t feel at home. They (residents) say I’m praying for you. That hits me right in the heart every time, said Pence.

The governor’s remarks come just hours before the religious freedom bill went to his desk for signature. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
