2 children removed from home after drug bust

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne police served a search warrant at home in Juliette Avenue Thursday night.

Members of the FWPD Emergency Services Team (SWAT) and FWPD Vice and Narcotics Bureau went to 2501 Juliette Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

Inside, police found five people, including two children.

Department of Children Services took custody of the two children and placed them with a relative.

During the search, police found 21 grams of cocaine along with a small amount of spice, according to Vice and Narcotics Sergeant Greg Stier.

Two people were arrested, according to WISH-TV sister station WANE News.

Chad C. Elder, 40, on maintaining a common nuisance, possession of cocaine, and dealing in synthetic drugs.

Tracey L. Cochran, 32, was arrested on maintaining a common nuisance.

The incident is under investigation.
