Send One Suit: How you can help others Dress for Success

Dress for Success Indianapolis anticipates seeing over 1250 women for their interviews in 2015, and they are calling on women in the community to pass on their success by donating gently-used suits. Each spring, Dress for Success Indianapolis hosts a city-wide suit drive called Send One Suit – Week. They rely on people to host drives at their workplaces, place of worship, etc. They make things easy by providing you marketing materials and online donation receipts. Every donor also gets a coupon for Classic Cleaners dry cleaning services.

Dress for Success Indianapolis, Harrison College and Classic Cleaners are sending out an S.O.S.! The 2015 Send One Suit – Week campaign is April 20-24. There are two options for a drive. You can do a free drive and drop off the donations yourself, or a paid option where Classic Cleaners will collect your donations for you and the money goes to support Dress for Success Indianapolis. S.O.S. Week drives provide for 40% of all suits and blouses needed to serve over 1,250 women this year.

If your company or organization is interested in coordinating a Private Drive at your facility to collect suits, blouses and financial donations register online at www.indydfs.org.
They are looking for stylish, classy, professional suits and blouses (donated on hangers) that will empower a woman to stand tall and walk into her interview looking and feeling confident. If you are wondering whether an item is appropriate to donate, ask yourself would you or a professional woman you know feel confident wearing the item – as is – to an interview?
