Indiana Photographic Society presents ‘Through the Lens’

Indiana Photographic Society’s ninth annual “Through the Lens” exhibition themed “Window on the World” opens Saturday April 4 from 5-7 PM and runs until April 25 at the Garfield Park Arts Center. A reception that is free and open to the public features the Perry Meridian HS String Quartet. This exhibition includes 90 framed and matted works ranging in size from 16×20 to 40×30 from 23 IPS members and is displayed in the GPAC third floor gallery.

SoArts art group supports arts and artists in south Indianapolis and the Indiana Photographic Society uses old and new technology to produce and promote fine art photography.  The group meets monthly at 6:30 PM on the first Thursday at the Garfield Park Arts Center and is comprised of several Perry Township art teachers, business people, healthcare, and art professionals who enjoy creating, promoting, and selling fine art.

Upcoming events are Take an Art Break April 11 from 1-4 and Artists in Action May 9 from 9-4 at Southport City Park

Indiana Photographic Society is a group of photographic artists that meet weekly on Wednesday at 7 PM at the Garfield Park Arts Center.  the group is comprised of teachers, local professors, business and photographic professionals and artists who enjoy fine art photography, improving their photographic craft, and sharing their captured moments of time with others in meetings and exhibitions.

Both groups are free to join by attending the meetings and participating in group events.
