Big week for Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Pacers find themselves just a game back for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with only five games left to play in the regular season.

The Pacers were back at practice on Tuesday as they get ready for the Knicks Wednesday night in the Big Apple.

Paul George was working out with the team after making his debut on Sunday against the Heat from breaking his leg last summer with Team USA.

“I didn’t want to play the whole game, I just wanted to get my feet wet and just to see how my body held up to it” said George. “It can help me learn later down the road if I play the whole game, but this is just a good step”

George scored 13 points in 15 minutes against Miami. He told 24-Hour News 8 today it was great to be out there.

Pacers coach Frank Vogel spoke to how big George’s impact has been

“You forget what he does on the defensive end more than anything,” said Vogel. “You know it was impressive seeing him come in and make some shots after not playing for a while, you know, but what he does on the defensive end is special”
