According to police, the nine Franklin Central High School students on board were quickly evacuated from the bus following the crash.

All but two students were checked out at the scene and were said to be OK. The two students that were transported to the hospital were heading to be checked out as a precautionary measure, as was the driver of the bus.

Officials at the Franklin Township Transportation Department said another bus was sent to the scene to continue on with the route.

Police were blocking Acton and Southeastern to motorists so the crash could be cleared. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
