Starbucks to give workers full ride for college

INDIANAPOLIS (CNN) – Starbucks is expanding its education program for employees.

The company says, starting this fall, workers can earn a bachelor’s degree – free.

Starbucks will offer full tuition at Arizona State University’s online program.

Full-time and part-time employees who do not already have a 4-year degree are eligible, unless they work at a licensed store, like ones located inside grocery stores.

The coffee chain already offers two years of undergraduate tuition with the university.

Starbucks says employees who graduate from the program will not be obligated to stay with the company after they earn their degree.
