Sam Mikulak, 2013-2014 Men’s Gymnastics’ U.S. All-Around Champion visits Indy Style
The 2015 P&G Gymnastics Championships, USA Gymnastics’ national championships, features the country’s best gymnasts vying for U.S. titles. Sam Mikulak won the men’s U.S. all-around title in 2013-14.

The P&G Gymnastics Championships traces its history back to 1897 for the men and 1931 for the women. The roster of former U.S. all-around champions includes: women – Nastia Liukin, Shawn Johnson, Carly Patterson, Courtney Kupets, Shannon Miller, Dominique Dawes, Kim Zmeskal and Mary Lou Retton; and men – Paul Hamm, Blaine Wilson, John Roethlisberger, Mitch Gaylord, Peter Vidmar and Bart Conner. The national championships has had a variety of names and sponsors throughout its history; in 2005, it was called the Visa Championships.
All-session tickets, which include every competitive session, are on sale now and range in price from $150-$495, plus applicable fees, based on seating location. Sam Mikulak of Newport Coast, Calif./Team Hilton HHonors, is the 2013-2014 U.S. all-round champion, 2013-14 NCAA all-around champion and a 2012 Olympian. Earlier this year, he competed in the AT&T American Cup at AT&T Stadium, where he finished fourth. In 2014, Mikulak won his second straight U.S. all-around title at the P&G Championships, where he also won the pommel horse gold and horizontal bar silver medals. As a member of the World Championships Team, he helped the USA claim the team bronze medal and competed in the all-around final. 2014 accomplishments also included winning the AT&T American Cup; capturing his second consecutive NCAA all-around and team titles, as well as the Nissen-Emery Award as the top senior male gymnast; and the high bar gold, floor exercise silver and parallel bars bronze medals at the World Challenge Cup in Anadia, Portugal. 2013 was also a good year for Mikulak: fourth on horizontal bar and sixth in the all-around at the World Championships; horizontal bar gold and floor bronze medals at the Anadia World Challenge Cup; NCAA team, all-around, parallel bars and high bar titles; and the all-around, parallel bars and horizontal bar U.S. titles at the P&G Championships. At the 2012 Olympic Games, he was fifth on vault and the team also placed fifth. Mikulak is finishing up his education at the University of Michigan, where he is a student assistant coach and trains.
