Indy hires help for pothole patching

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis’ Department of Public Works has hired some help to speed up patching potholes around the city.

Each day, four Harding Asphalt crews will help the 15-20 DPW crews with patching. Since Jan. 1, DPW has filled more than 9,800 potholes around Indianapolis.

The plan is to have Harding crews patch potholes on major thoroughfares while DPW addresses potholes on secondary and residential streets.

Crews will keep patching until May 1. It will cost $217,000.
