IndyCar hits the streets in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. (WISH) — IndyCar will be back in action for its third race of the season on Sunday. Long Beach, California will be the location as 23 cars will twist and turn around the two mile road course. Drivers look at this road course as an important race in the series.

“You ask any of the drivers or team owners, it’s kind of been labeled the Indy 500 of road and street course racing,” said current Indy 500 champion Ryan Hunter-Reay. “You get famous people showing up there over the weekend. The place is just jammed packed and people come out they want to see there IndyCar racing”

With just two races under their belt, the always powerful Penske team fills the first three slots in the point standings led by Juan Pablo Montoya.
