Pedestrian struck, killed by train in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) — A man walking along train tracks was hit and killed Friday evening.

According to Lawrence Police Department Captain Gary Woodruff, the man was walking on the tracks near North Franklin Road and East 46th Street just before 6 p.m. Friday.

Woodruff said the conductor warned the whistle but the man didn’t seem to hear the train coming.
