Just Between Friends Events in Indianapolis Offers “Buy Back” Program for Recalled Graco Strollers.

Just Between Friends of Indianapolis is offering a special program to help families that have Graco strollers recalled in 2010: Alano, Passage or Spree strollers and/or travel systems. JBF discovered many parents still had these strollers and were unaware of the recall or potential danger.

Graco recalled the models due to fingertip amputation and lacerations hazards. Click here for details on the recalled models. A study by Kids in Danger found that only 10 percent of recalled children’s items are repaired or returned.

You do have to check it. I think the community doesn’t know or doesn’t really think that theirs will be on recall.”

JBF’s Corporate Product and Recall Specialist Kami Snowbarger works with the CPSC to educate parents year-round. She reached out to Graco and the CPSC when she learned Graco was no longer manufacturing the repair kit for the strollers. JBF decided to step in and help families by offering a special “Buy Back” program.

Families can bring the recalled strollers to one of three JBF events in Indianapolis. JBF has expanded and added new events to help more families save & earn money. In exchange for the recalled stroller, JBF will provide a $25.00 gift card to shop at the JBF event in North Indy. JBF will return the stroller to Graco and it will be destroyed.
