Coroner positively identifies missing pilot among wreckage

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — According to the Boone County Coroner, the body recovered from a single-engine YAK-52TW plane was 58-year-old Glenn Foy.

The coroner confirmed through dental records that Foy was in the wreckage found Sunday April 12.

The plane missing since April 3, flown by Foy was found in Boone County.

According to Lt. Turner of the Indiana Civil Air Patrol, the plane was discovered southwest of Lebanon around 8:40 a.m.

The family of Foy thanked those who worked to find him on Saturday.

The cause and crash were under investigation by the FAA and NTSB.
