Foundation focused on helping at risk youth
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Detective Harry Dunn had a vision about four years ago to help at risk youth.
Now it appears Dunn is just a few steps away from seeing his vision become reality.
Dunn with the help of his wife created the Him by Her Foundation, which will provide job training, case management, and life enhancing skills.
The Indianapolis Colts hosted a luncheon for the foundation. Colts Owner Jim Irsay wrote the group a $100,000 check.
“Our future is always about our kids,” said Irsay.
It’s estimated the foundation will need $250,000 to get the plan off the ground.
Foundation organizers are planning a gala to help raise money on July 25.
Dunn added he had a vision that one day his dream would become a reality.
“This was something that was birthed from me and my wife and God,” said Dunn. ” I can do all things through Christ.”
