Time-lapse video shows 515 years of NYC history
NEW YORK CITY (WISH) – An incredible look at the 515-year history of New York City can now be seen in a new 47-second time-lapse video.
It’s taken from inside the elevator of the new 1 World Trade Center. As you ride to the top floor, the elevator reveals a 3-D view depicting what New York City looked like starting in the 1500s. The video brings you up to present day.
During the time-lapse, a glimpse of the doomed north tower is shown when the video reaches September of 2001. Afterward, the video shows construction begin on the 1 World Trade Center until the elevator reaches the top.
