Blackmon Jr. decides to return for another year at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) – Indiana guard James Blackmon Jr. has decided not to enter the NBA draft this season.

The 6-foot-4 Indiana native finished second on team in scoring last season with 15.7 points and was one of the Big Ten’s highest scoring freshmen.

The return of Blackmon, the earlier decision of 6-foot-7 forward Troy Williams to return next season and the recent signing of 6-foot-11 prep star Thomas Bryant gives the Hoosiers a solid core group of players for next season.

Indiana is still waiting on the decision of junior guard Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell, the Hoosiers’ top scorer last season at 16.3 points.

He is scheduled to make that announcement Saturday in his hometown of Indianapolis.
