Fishers classrooms to get trauma kits

FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – Classrooms at a Fishers Elementary school will soon be stocked with trauma kits.

On Tuesday, the Fishers Department of Fire and Emergency Services announced Fall Creek Elementary will get the kits and school nurses will be trained in trauma management on Thursday.

Principal Amy Jackson and the Fall Creek Elementary PTO decided they would use their own resources to put the trauma kits in each of their 39 classrooms.

“If it’s something that can make our school that much safer, I want to get on board immediately,” said Jackson.

Once the nurses are trained, they will later teach staff and administrators how to use the kits.
