NASCAR makes pit stop at IMS ahead of Brickyard 400

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The month of May belongs to IndyCar but in the closing days of April, NASCAR takes over Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

13 Sprint Cup teams are scheduled to test the track ahead of this year’s Brickyard 400. The test goes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and is open to the public. Food is available at the Pit Stop Cafe. That’s next to the IMS Hall of Fame Museum.

Defending champ Jeff Gordon and reigning Sprint Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick are among the drivers expected to speak at 12 p.m.

The Brickyard 400 is on July 26.
