BALTIMORE (WISH) — In the midst of the chaos erupting in the streets of Baltimore, there was a moment of kindness and appreciation.

Bishop Martese Cromartie shared a photo on his Facebook page Tuesday of a child handing out water bottles to police officers standing guard.

Tens of thousands of people have shared the photo, one person leaving a comment saying, “It only takes one child.”

This week’s riots were spurred by the case of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old black man who died of a spinal-cord injury under mysterious circumstances while in police custody. This week, rioters have filled the streets of Baltimore, setting fires and attacking officers in response to Gray’s death.
