2 arrested after meth found in oven

SILVER LAKE, Ind. (WANE) – Police in Kosciusko County arrested two people Wednesday evening after getting a tip about where one of them might be. That person was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Just before 6 p.m., officers arrived at a Silver Lake home and were met at the front door by Phillip Krider, 21, who was immediately taken into custody on a warrant for failing to appear regarding a probation violation, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

While arresting Krider, officers noticed a strong odor associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine. They found items used to make meth inside the home along with the finished product inside an oven.

A second person at the home, Cheyenne Pauline Miller, 23, was also arrested and preliminarily charged with felony possession of meth and visiting a common nuisance. Krider also faces an additional charge of felony manufacturing of meth.

The Warsaw Police Narcotics Unit and Kosciusko County D.T.F. were also assisted at the scene by the Silver Lake Police Department, Indiana State Police Meth Lab Team, and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office and Sheriff’s Department.
