Local personalities “Man the Stand”

Scott Jones, the local entrepreneur who brought Lemonade Day to Indianapolis, has loaned his iconic lemonade stand to a few local business and sports personalities who have agreed to “Man the Stand” and sell lemonade throughout the event. The schedule includes:

Registrations for Lemonade Day on Saturday, May 16, will be accepted at Lemonpalooza as well as online at http://indianapolis.lemonadeday.org/registration2015. Now in its sixth year, Lemonade Day Greater Indianapolis teaches young entrepreneurs how to start, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand. More than 13,000 kids last year put the Lemonade Day philosophy of “Spend, Save and Share” into action, raising nearly $1.5 million in revenue and donating a portion of their proceeds to Indianapolis-area charities.

This is the second new event launched by Lemonade Day this week. On Monday, local organizers announced a partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to select 10 “lemonpreneurs” to partner with a driver and sell lemonade on Pagoda Plaza on May 16, Indianapolis 500 Qualifications Day and the official Lemonade Day in greater Indianapolis and Fishers. Applications for this special program are due by Thursday, April 30.
