Police chase through Avon ends in crash

AVON, Ind. (WISH) — A police chase in Avon ended in a crash Thursday morning, officials in Hendricks County said.

It started in the 6900 block of East US 36 around 5:30 a.m. Police haven’t released details about why the suspect vehicle was being pursued.

The chase ended near Canterbury and Main. Police say no one was hurt in the crash. Chopper 8 flew over the scene where a damaged white van had gone off the road. A tow truck was standing by to tow the vehicle away.

Police say the suspect in the pursued vehicle was taken into custody.
