Suspect leaves phone, cops using selfies to track him down

WHITEHALL, Ohio – Whitehall police have some good pictures of an alleged robber after he leaves his cellphone at the scene with his selfies on it.

According to the Whitehall Division of Police, at about 12:35 p.m. April 27, a man entered the Columbus Metro Federal Credit Union in the 4000 block of East Broad Street, and demanded money from the teller.

After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect ran from the scene, however police said the man left his cellphone behind.

Several photos of the suspect were found on the phone and police hope it helps with his identification.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, 170 to 220 pounds, and was seen wearing a plaid hooded coat, and a white ball cap.
