Mayor Strasser loses re-election bid

DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) – Incumbent Randy Strasser loses in the Democratic mayoral primary to Jack Wilson.

According to unofficial results, Strasser lost to Wilson by 10 votes. Mayor Strasser was seeking his third term.

While on the Republican side, four were vying for a spot on November’s ballot. Louis Hayden defeated his three opponents – Wally Dellenbach, Larry Jenkins Jr. and Andrew Royal – with 43 percent of the votes.

Wilson is a local business owner who says he’s ready to take on the office.

This was Delphi’s first primary since 1999.
