Woman killed in rollover crash in Vigo County
VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Indiana State Police and the Vigo County Coroner’s Office have identified the female driver from the fatal rollover crash on Interstate 70 Tuesday morning.
The driver has been identified as Corrie South, 38, of Missouri.
The crash happened on Interstate 70 around 1:30 a.m. near the 10.5 mile marker. Police reported that a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer was eastbound on I-70 when it drifted off the north side of the road. That’s when South over-corrected and traveled back onto the road before spinning out of control and rolling over in the median.
Police say seat belts were in use. An alcoholic beverage container was found in her vehicle and routine toxicology results are pending.
