Justin Timberlake plays a lime in tequila ad

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Justin Timberlake has caught the public eye in a hilarious Sauza 901 tequila ad.

The versatile celebrity icon has rebranded with Sauza, allowing him to create a unique campaign and take ownership of his tequila brand.

In the full three-minute ad, Timberlake plays a lime who starts off as a hero. By the end of the ad he goes to being nothing when Sauza 901 doesn’t need him.

Timberlake entered the alcohol world in 2009 with the launch of 901. He named the tequila after his hometown area code in Memphis.Kevin George, global CMO at Sauza parent company Beam Suntory said last year Timberlake pitched the idea to the company, and within an hour they decided to go with it.
