Police: Man sent 13,000+ Facebook messages to former co-worker

PERU, Ind. (WANE) Police arrested a 20-year-old man from Peru, formerly of DeKalb County, on multiple stalking and intimidation charges following a week long investigation by the Indiana State Police.

Brandon K. Studebaker is accused of making threatening telephone calls to a business in Angola that formerly employed him back in 2013. Investigators also say he sent in excess of 13,000 messages via Facebook private messaging to a female employee of the same company over the last two years.

Detectives said the female victim originally thought the messages were spam, but upon further investigation, it was found that several of the messages were described to have been “threatening and disturbing in nature.”

Studebaker is in the Steuben County Jail without bond and faces a felony charge of stalking and four felony counts of intimidation.
