The Muppets gets green light for show revival

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, muppetational show is returning to television, according to ABC.

ABC announced it is rebooting The Muppets, the late 70s, early 80s show.

Big Bang Theory co-creator Bill Prady told CNN that the show is expected to be a contemporary, documentary-style show. The show will explore the personal lives and relationships of the Muppets. It’s expected to air during prime time.

This is the second time Prady has attempted to bring back The Muppets. He shot test footage, but Disney passed on it.

In 1991 Prady earned an Emmy for his work on The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson.

The Muppets is part of a list of shows that will try and a make a comeback. Other shows include, Fuller House, The X-Files and Girl Meets World.

Entertainment Weekly said that a recent screening of the pilot received a standing ovation.
